Starting January 1, 2025, California will introduce two groundbreaking laws aimed at boosting economic activity and revitalizing urban life. Authored by state Sen. Scott Wiener, Senate Bill 969 allows local governments to create “entertainment zones” where patrons can purchase and consume alcoholic beverages on public streets and sidewalks.
