Celebrity chef Todd English has gotten on board with cooking with cannabis, introducing his new packaged food brand, LastLeaf, with a delicious gourmet mac and cheese infused with cannabis. As a James Beard award-winning chef and accomplished restaurateur, this is the first of what promises to be many exciting new products from Todd English's cannabis-inspired line.

You can choose between two mouth-watering flavors: white cheddar with shells and classic cheddar with elbow macaroni.

English told ABC News Live, "We're getting a great response."

As marijuana becomes legal in more states, the food and beverage industry is taking notice. With 18 states and D.C. now allowing recreational marijuana sales to adults over 21, cannabis-infused foods and drinks are quickly gaining popularity.

California residents can now indulge in a unique twist on the classic mac and cheese, thanks to English. However, the rest of the country need not despair, as plans to expand to other cities with legalized recreational marijuana are in the works.

English has been cooking with cannabis for over a decade. Inspired by his sister Wendy's battle with breast cancer, he began incorporating cannabis in his dishes for her.

"My sister passed away, unfortunately, but during the time she was in remission, I would prepare things with cannabis and it seemed to really help her get through the struggles of how she felt after chemo." said English.

English, along with his business partner Keith Burkard, is on a mission to create nutritious foods infused with both THC and CBD. Their goal is to promote wellness through the benefits of cannabis in a delicious and convenient way.

According to Burkard, "Consumers are ready for it, but it's going to take a little bit of time to get embedded into the marketplace."

LastLeaf isn't stopping at cheesy packaged pasta - they're planning to take things up a notch with cannabis-infused pasta sauces, rubs, and olive oil. Stay tuned for these exciting new products in the coming months!
